The unique koziol designs – which have garnered numerous international awards – are produced in cooperation between our own Werksdesign team and leading designers and universities across Europe. This symbiosis between brainstorming, high tech and craftsmanship has produced enduring and legendary design icons such as the »AROMA cup series jointly created by Matteo Thun and koziol, and the »TASCHE bags from koziol and the star architect Alessandro Mendini.

One guiding principle shapes all the company’s ideas and actions: sustainability. In line with this concept, everything is made at one location in Germany, from start to finish. The entire production process takes place at the company’s home base, from the original idea all the way to the packaged product. Marketing, model-building, product development, construction, mold creation, production, printing, packaging and distribution are all combined under one roof in Erbach. Every product meets the highest environmental standards in terms of plastics, dyes and manufacturing methods, and all the production processes are optimally keyed to conserving resources and energy. This not only guarantees outstanding quality, but also ensures full ecological, social and economic sustainability.

The koziol Glücksfabrik

In the middle of the Odenwald forest a factory opened its doors the likes of which the world had never seen: the Glücksfabrik. koziol, manufacturer of premium design products made of plastic material for over 80 years, has created a brand experience in which everything revolves around the brand, happiness and, naturally, design.

The Glücksfactory comprises three sections: the koziol Museum, the Glückscafé, and the new Design Outlet. It is a place where unforgettable moments are created and visitors enjoy themselves while learning about historical events and design throughout the decades.
